Taking Life Back to the Basics
Taking Life Back to the Basics
You know when you get life altering news? The kind that stops you in your tracks and makes you truly consider just about everything. That's what happened to our little family in 2015 when we found out my husband may have MS. As a lover of researching things, I dove headfirst into learning about MS. What causes this crippling disease? How can we prevent his ailments from worsening? I read books. I watched documentaries. I scoured the Internet.
That is when I learned about the benefits of goat milk. I had found a rabbit hole and there was no coming back from it. I had been catapulted from my blissful ignorance into this insatiable desire to want better for my family, to want more.
Our journey began because I wanted my family to have good health and that meant taking life back to the basics.
It is our hope and dream that homesteading as a family will create a closeness that cannot be undone. By taking life back to the basics, we hope that we are able to guide and teach our children to find beauty and goodness in even the smallest of things. We want our children to learn life-long lessons that may only be taught by homesteading.
"A family that farms together, stays together."
"Blessed be the ties that bind."
While we do prefer that you come to the homestead to pick up your animal, we do make trips to the Eastern side of Nebraska and are willing to meet for a fee along our route. If your location is not near our route, we can still arrange transport for a fee.
